A group of cattle raiders took 20 heads of cattle at Madiar village in Aweng County in South Sudan’s Twic state on Wednesday night.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, several residents said the group carried out the attack at night which made it difficult for them to alert the police. They revealed that about four cows escaped and returned back on Thursday.
The local residents accused a group of raiders from Northern Liech state of involvement in the incident.
Authorities in Northern Liech state could not immediately be reached for comment.
