At least two police officers were killed and two others injured in a road ambush along the Torit-Kapoeta road on Tuesday, a top state official said.

Imatong State governor Tobolio Alberio told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that suspected opposition forces attacked police officers who were helping a trader whose vehicle had broken down. Alberio said a Somali national was also injured in the attack.

Opposition officials could not be reached for comment.
