At least two people were killed and four others seriously wounded after an attack on Kwerijik, an area west of the capital Juba, multiple sources said.

The sources, who preferred anonymity, told radio Tamazuj that the incident took place around 1:00 am on Saturday when the victims were sleeping. They pointed out that the police arrived in the area to investigate the incident.

A police officer, who preferred anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly, said one suspect was arrested and that investigations are underway.
