At least two people were killed after unknown gunmen ambushed a vehicle along the Leer-Bentiu road on Sunday, a local official said.
Northern Liech Security Advisor Malou told Radio Tamazuj that the car was coming from Leer to Bentiu when it came under attacked by unknown gunmen. Gordon further said the driver who was a trader and a passenger were killed in the attack.
Malou pointed out that the Leer-Bentiu road has become insecure due to reported incidents of attacks by unknown gunmen. But he said the government will deploy more forces along the road to provide security for its users.
