Two brothers were shot and killed and their sister wounded by two members of the SPLA in Wau town in South Sudan’s Western Bahr al Ghazal state over the weekend.
The wounded sister, called Julie, told Radio Tamazuj that she was shot in the leg by one of SPLA soldiers outside their house at Baggari Jedid area in Wau town on Saturday, saying she was receiving treatment at Wau Teaching Hospital.
She explained that she witnessed the incident and was shot herself when she went outside to after hearing gunshots.
For his part, Akol Akol, Wau town mayor, confirmed the incident but declined to provide more details, saying security authorities were carrying out investigations.
