Nearly 192 displaced families are still living in the open in Katila Locality in Sudan’s South Darfur State following heavy rains and floods that destroyed their houses in the last two weeks

Nearly 192 displaced families are still living in the open in Katila Locality in Sudan’s South Darfur State following heavy rains and floods that destroyed their houses in the last two weeks.

Several citizens from Katila told Radio Tamazuj that floods and heavy rains forced about 150 families to look for higher ground in the area, saying the flood-stricken people were experiencing harsh living conditions.

A local resident said they have not yet received any humanitarian assistance from the state government.
