Authorities in South Sudan’s Kapoeta state have arrested 13 people for allegedly stealing food aid intended for conflict-displaced families in the area.
Kapoeta’s Information Minister Joseph Kabaka told Radio Tamazuj on Thursday that 13 youth from Mogos County had been arrested for looting humanitarian aid intended for internally displaced people from Boma state.
He pointed out that investigations are underway.
Separately, Minister Kabaka said that a policeman was killed by unknown gunmen in Ngauru County earlier this week. He pointed out that the perpetrators escaped after the incident.
