1200 nationality numbers issued to Dinka Ngok in South Kordofan

A supervisory committee which was set to issue nationality certificates to Abyei citizens residing in South Kordofan announced it had issued 1200 nationality numbers. Amin Kiir Dhel, the head of the committee, said in a press statement to Sudanese media that their committee has handed over to the Ministry of Interior a document of statistics showing that about 999 families from Abyei are living in the states of Red Sea, Blue Nile and Sennar. He noted that the committee also is going to carry out the same documentation for Dinka Ngok in the five state of Darfur, noting that the national authorities pledged to open more nationality issuance centres in those states in the coming period.
