About 12 women suffering from obstetric fistula have successfully undergone fistula treatment at Wau Teaching Hospital earlier this week, according to a health official.
Agum Isaac Daniel, Acting Medical Director of Wau Teaching Hospital, told Radio Tamazuj today that 12 women have been treated and that they are expecting more women suffering from obstetric fistula to visit the hospital.
She called on women who were going through that condition to visit the hospital in the town of Wau.
Agum urged mothers to visit the health facilities when they are expectant to get better healthcare.
Obstetric fistula, considered an accident of childbirth, happens as a result of prolonged obstructed labour.
