Around 11,000 residents have fled Sudanese army air strikes in Abinom, Unity state and are seeking refuge in Rumamer, Abyei from air strikes with no shelter, food, clean water or medicine.
Coordinator Michael Souk told Radio Tamazuj that the 11,000 have arrived in the area over the past two weeks, with more said to be arriving every day.
Souk said the families are in a bad way with no humanitarian assistance sleeping only under the trees for shelter.
He said Médecins Sans Frontières and the World Food Programme are beginning to visit the displaced families and working together to provide support.
