Local authorities say conflict affected people in Pigi County in South Sudan's Jonglei State face worsening humanitarian conditions.

County Commissioner Dau Abraham told Radio Tamazuj about 11,000 internally displaced people lack food and other basic services.

He called on humanitarian organizations to help to the affected families.

Dau added that many families who fled the conflict to Malakal are also suffering due to lack of food.
