1018 from Eastern Nile leaves Yei over rising insecurity

At least 1018 people hailing from Eastern Nile State have left Yei state in fear of their safety after security situation in the area has deteriorated.  

At least 1018 people hailing from Eastern Nile State have left Yei state in fear of their safety after security situation in the area has deteriorated.

 

Eastern Nile State Information Minister Lam Chan said the State government was prompted to facilitate voluntary departure of its people from Yei due to rising insecurity in the state in which people are targeted based on ethnicity.  He said the state government will also facilitate those who want to go to Malakal. The people leaving Yei,he said , are those fled Malakal  in 2014 in search of safety.The people were received by the State governor Chol Thon Balok at Lual Diing Wol Ground in Juba.
