At least 10 people were arrested by police for stealing nine jerricans of fuel at the Tharjiath oilfield in Jaak Payam, Koch County in Unity State on Monday.
The Police Director General, Brig Gen John Jock Deng, told Radio Tamazuj that the suspects were arrested on Monday for stealing the fuel at the SPOC Base in the Tharjiath oilfield.
“All the 10 were arrested while stealing the fuel to sell to those outside the compound,” Deng said.
He said the suspects were currently in detention at the Koch County police headquarters.
We will send them to the commissioner after we are done with all the investigations, he added.
