At least 10 people were killed, 25 others wounded and several cattle looted following intercommunal clashes in Tonj North County of Warrap State, a community leader said.
Speaking to reporters in Juba on Monday, Kornelio Mawut, a representative of the Tonj North community in Juba, accused gunmen from neighbouring Unity State of carrying out the attack.
He said the injured were transferred to Juba Teaching Hospital with support from the presidential advisor on national security affairs, Tut Gatluak.
Authorities in Unity State could not easily be reached for comments.
