One woman was killed and two children kidnapped in Kongor County of Jonglei state on Wednesday, a local official said.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, Kongor County Commissioner Deng Bul said armed men broke into a house in Agek-rot district on Wednesday, killing the woman and abducting her two children aged 7 and 2.

Bul added that investigations into the crime are on-going and those found guilty will be held accountable.
