One person died and two others injured on Tuesday after a motorcyclist crashed into a truck in Malual Miuk payam in South Sudan’s Tonj state. The wounded were taken to Tonj Civil Hospital for treatment.

The truck loaded with goods was travelling from Wau to Romic area in Tonj East via Tonj town.

The director of traffic police in Tonj state, Maj. Joseph Liti Jaavo, told Radio Tamazuj that they have arrested the truck driver and the man in charge of the truck.

Liti further said investigations are underway. He called on the people of the state to traffic laws to avoid similar tragic incidents.
