Authorities in Twic Centre County in South Sudan’s Jonglei state said that one person was killed and two others injured in an attack by gunmen on Friday.
Commissioner of Twic Centre County, Dau Akoi Jurkuc, told Radio Tamazuj that a group of criminals attacked a cattle camp where they killed a man and wounded his wife and a child.
Akoi claimed that the attackers took 17 heads of cattle after the incident. He accused a group of cattle raiders from neighbouring Boma state of involvement in the attack.
