A man was killed and his brother injured after an attack by unknown gunmen wearing military uniforms at their home in Maridi town on Wednesday morning.

A relative of the deceased told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that five gunmen in army uniforms attacked their house early morning and tied her and her mother and took two of her brothers along with them. He further said after a while the attackers heard gunshots.

She added that one of her brothers was killed and the other injured.

The mayor of Maridi town, Daniel Adada called on the people of Maridi to continue with their normal activities while the government pursues the perpetrators.
