The Warrap State Legislative Assembly issued an order last Tuesday reinstating 20 dismissed employees working for the State Social Welfare Ministry.

In an interview with Radio Tamazuj, the Speaker of the State Parliament Madut Dut Kich stated that the decision was taken by the Assembly after an exhaustive deliberation on the matter.

He said the Assembly has directed the ministry to reinstate the 20 dismissed civil servants, who were removed last 31 August.

The Speaker noted that the Assembly had received complaints that the Social Welfare Ministry dismissed its employees without prior notification to the State Finance Ministry. 

He said the lawmakers intervened when they found that all the administrative measures taken by the Ministry were illegal.
