Sudan condemns South Sudan's 'acts of aggression'

The Sudanese foreign ministry condemned what it called South Sudan's acts of aggression and support for the armed attack in the Bahr al Abyad area.

The ministry announced it has submitted a new complaint to the UN Security Council, to request the right to respond to attacks risking the sovereignty of Sudan.

The statement accused South Sudan of directly ordering and plotting the insurgency.

Juba however, denied any involvement in the attack.

Spokesman for the South Sudanese army, Philip Aguer said South Sudan had nothing to do with the attack, and Khartoum's accusations are an attempt to find excuses for defeats by rebel movements in Sudan.
