The Secretary-General of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army North (SPLA-N) has announced that the unilateral ceasefire declared earlier in South Kordofan and Blue Nile State expired on 1 October.

The high command of the SPLA-N had declared the ceasefire a month ago, saying they wished to assist flood-stricken people across Sudan, particularly within areas controlled by SPLA-N.

Another SPLM-N spokesman has meanwhile also claimed that the Sudanese Air Force has been bombing various areas during the ceasefire period.
