SPLM-N denies Juba’s involvement in release of Chinese workers

The spokesman for the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) Arnu Ngutulu Lodi denied any role of the South Sudanese government in helping with the release of the Chinese workers detained in South Kordofan.

Lodi said the ruling National Congress Party is trying to find a link between the SPLM-N and Juba, but denied any existed stating the arrangements are going well for the release of the Chinese workers.

He said ‘the Sudanese people will be informed about developments soon.’

The online news website Sudanile reported the story, saying consultations were under way between the SPLM-N and President Salva Kiir to determine a safe place for the detainees to be delivered and received in an agreed area.
