South Sudan accuses Sudan for attacking targets in Upper Nile

JUBA - The Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) launched an attack on the area of Kaka Tijaria on Tuesday 19 June at 4.30am. The Commissioner of Manyo County, Al-Tayeb Ajang, told this to radio Tamazuj. He denied a statement issued from Khartoum that not regular armed forces but some militia groups controlled Kaka Tijaria. Ajang stated that the attack on Kaka Tijaria was not done by militia groups but by SAF from Hajjanah in the Heglig area. Ajang added that the attack had been repulsed by South Sudan, who had captured a vehicle and some of the attackers. Kaka Tijaria is one of the contested areas on the border between Sudan and South Sudan
