Government 'will help returnees stranded at Kosti'

The Presidential Assistant Abdul Rahman Al-Mahdi has promised to provide help to South Sudanese returnees currently stranded in the Sudanese port of Kosti.

Al-Mahdi estimated there are more than 10,000 people stuck at the port awaiting transportation to Juba.

He said the government will identify the conditions causing difficulty for the returnees to travel, and look for options for voluntary return by land and other means.
