Al Jimam camp: children and residents missing after air strikes in South Sudan

Al Jimam displaced person camp authorities said they lost children and elderly camp residents in the air strikes that took place in Upper Nile state, South Sudan.

Sources said civilians from Blue Nile state were waiting to be transported into camps further in Upper Nile.

Al Jimam chief Al Amer said there were a large number of citizens preparing to travel by truck from Jimam when the bombimg started, causing many to flee with their children into unknown areas.

They appealed to authorities and organizations in the area to help in the search for refugees forced into hiding.
