Wundkur commissioner urges Sudanese herders to enter into his county without guns

The Commissioner of Wunkur County in Ruweng State, Deng Majak, has urged all Sudanese herders who migrate seasonally to graze their cattle in his county not to carry guns.

Speaking to radio Tamazuj Majak said they welcome Sudanese pastoralists to graze their cattle in the county.

“We do respect them but they should not be come with guns. A civilian cannot enter to another country with guns,” he said.

Majak pointed out that the state government and civilians respect their neighbouring communities from Sudan, saying they want peaceful relations if problem arises.
