In the opening of the Jonglei State premiere league tournament on Saturday, Super Eagles beat Jonglei United one to nil. The Eagles who scored their victorious goal at the second half lead the division one teams which will participate in the tournament.

Sports officials say that the division one teams will play and produce a winner at the end of the tournament to meet the winner of the division two teams, which will then start towards the end of the division one.

The trophy to be won will be provided by the state ministry of culture, youth and sports.

It is yet the first time since the civil war started for Jonglei State to organize a premiere league tournament to be played. The competition is due to build peace and harmony among the youths of the state, according to officials.
