A 17-year-old boy was shot by an unknown gunman at Mayom Angok area in Majak Baai County in South Sudan’s Lol State on Wednesday, a relative said.

Simon Garang, a relative of the wounded young boy, told Radio Tamazuj that boy was shot in the bush where he went to cut poles. He pointed out that he is receiving treatment at Aweik Hospital.

Garang accused Rizeigat tribesmen of involvement in the attack.

He urged the relevant authorities and peace committees between Dinka Malual and Rezigat tribes to identify the perpetrator.
